Copyright and Licence
Copyright ownership
Copyright in courses, videos, documents and other materials delivered via The Knights of Safety (TKoS) Academy belongs to The Knights of Safety Ltd.™ unless an agreement states otherwise. Copyright exists automatically under UK law on creation.
Permitted uses
- All rights reserved (default): Students have a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to view course materials for personal learning and internal training only. Reproduction, resale or redistribution is prohibited without written permission.
- Educational licence (optional): Internal copying and use for assessment permitted with attribution. Commercial use requires a separate licence.
Files and assets
All downloadable files carry a filename stamp and opening page noting copyright owner and licence. Contact [email protected] for reuse permission.
Bespoke work and SOWs
Work created under a Statement of Work may include bespoke IP terms. Unless the SOW states assignment, TKoS retains copyright. Assignment must be set out in the SOW and paid for where applicable.
Takedown and infringement
If you believe your rights have been infringed send an email to [email protected] with:
- your name, contact email and organisation
- identify the copyrighted work
- location of the alleged infringing material (URL and course title)
- a statement of good faith belief the use is unauthorised
- a statement the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act
TKoS will acknowledge receipt within five business days, investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access pending resolution.
Record keeping and provenance
TKoS retains source master files, timestamps and export records for evidentiary purposes. Retention standard: six years unless otherwise required.
